The images below, is a part of a documentary series called "KRAYOT PEOPLE" which is a tribute to the "People of the 20th Century" by August Sander.
I have begun working on this project in purpose to get a deeper perspective on the place I live in. I used to wander across my town’s old streets and allowed my intuition to lead my way as I found new subjects for depiction. My emotions had played an essential role while I decided where and when to stop and wait for my next potential passer-by. I have learnt to be attentive to my emotions for they had helped me to trust the strangers I had just met. While I did so, I had discovered it was much of a fun and exciting experience- meeting new people and approaching them solemnly by means of relying on my emotional consciousness.
During the process I was interested in getting acquainted with the people I had just met. I asked them for their names, listened to their stories and inquired about their whereabouts. After the meeting, I produced the photo and arrived at their houses in order to give them their portrait as a gift, framed with an attached greeting .In the process I found great interest in in meeting the other, a stranger- in an attempt to influence them to be more accepting in their life.
